The majestic peaks of Milford Sound in New Zealand inspire awe as they jut out of the waters.
I chose to keep the colour palette at a minimum using only white, black, green and a touch of brown to convey the image of a foggy day with low clouds brushing against the peaks, as a waterfall gently streams down.
Painted using the hands only, no brush, using wide strokes and thick layers of paint.
My preferred method of painting large-scale works is to eliminate brushes altogether and just feel my way to completion as I load the canvas with paint, then work the colours in with my hands.

Sides painted white.
